True north differs from the magnetic north that you can find on a compass. It is dependent on variables and can be difficult to pinpoint. Using map imagery helps me to remind myself to stay on my philosophical course, to keep my eyes on the clear path that I am actively building for myself, in life and in art. Knowing my true north keeps me moving towards that chosen point in the distance.
